Responsibilities
As a Catering Sales Manager you are responsible for selling public space for food and beverage functions; solicit, book and coordinate weddings, social functions and corporate events. As well as maintaining existing clients; planning services to maximize revenue profits for the hotel; assisting in the development of Catering Coordinators. Other responsibilities include; analyze requirements of functions, outline available facilities and services offered and quote food and beverage prices. Work with Executive Chef in menu planning in order to maximize food and beverage revenues from events. Confer with guests and hotel department heads to plan functions details, such as space requirements, publicity, time schedule, food service and decorations. Prepare BEO's. Sell liquor in accordance with state liquor laws. Attend bridal shows, network with local vendors, as well as assist with promotions of weddings and social functions. -Bachelor's degree preferred. -2 years hotel sales and/or catering experience. -Negotiation skills. -Business communication skills. -Positive, winning attitude a must! -Delphi experience preferred.
